The rest of the world does not subscribe to it and when adopted, works fitfully or incompetely, in those countries that have no Anglo-American tradtion or history of strong influence.
I am dismayed that we are wasting our lives and resources in such worthless activity based upon slogans and wishful thinking. Woodrow Wilson is back!

Primary to this belief is an understanding that the natural system comes to us through a natural order: first in that order is an empirical respect for innocent life as a gift not created by man and our ability to reason within an existing world in which man is bonded naturally to one another. As a political system democracy is therefore natural and best protects an existing moral system empirically understood from the knowledge of our existance and the laws of nature. I do not shy from saying that this battle with Islamofascism is a battle between religious dogmas- a clash of civilizations that can not be ignored. Paleo-cons believe to be quixotic the notion that Western style democracy can be exported to other civilizations. My belief is that humans are humans and that cultures will change and humans will not. That cultures will eventually comport themselves to a naturally ordered system though the brutality of trial and error. It is a tragic flaw of certain culture that Islamofascism is born and needs to be repudiated. The birth of democracy is lands that limits debate and dialogue and the ability to self govern is only one step down the path to limiting the systemic weaknesses the birth terrorism. However to stick your head in the sand and attempt to stop the hands of time in a global economy to reduce terrorism in the short term by limiting interaction is simply foolish. Confrontations between civilizations are going to occur in a shrinking world- this is natural and necessary- no matter how brutal and bloody.
