Conspiracy 4

There is more than one film  by this name, but I suspect the one being referred to is the Kenneth Branagh, Stanley Tucci recreation of the Wannsee conference in 1942, in which Reynhard Heydrich (Branagh) presided over a meeting that delineated the "Endlosung" or "Final Solution to the Jewish Problem"

The film is based on the surviving minutes of the meeting, and sticks to its timeline, which was only 90 minutes.  While it has flaws, there are some superb performances.  Branagh, is an urbane, charming, highly intelligent bully as Heydrich, Tucci is the icy perfect aide as Eichmann, Colin Firth as the brilliant legal technician Stuckart, and Ian MacNeice as the thuggish Klopfer particularly stand out.

If you know anything of history, it is an uncomfortable film, although there is no violence at all besides some dropped glassware.   The discussion that takes place, however, is frank, explicit and icy in its beaurocratic horror.
