Absolutely a great idea to keep monitoring your credit report. I go to Get Free FICO Scores and order my reports every month to make sure nothing weird is going on.

I run mine every hour on the hour. You never know when something could change.

Too slow. By the time one gets around to checking a credit report (average once every 4 months if one monitors all three credit bureaus on a staggered basis) the damage is done. One should have indications of problems from other sources well before checking the report.
