I use to watch this show with my dad as a kid..........My favorite episode was called "The Pill Box"

This was a great show with Vic Morrow and his intrepid squad fighting the Krauts in WWII. This was a no nonsense, non politically correct rendition of war.

There was a similar show called "Gallant Men" that I reviewed in this list. It didn't last as long as "Combat."

For my money, this was the best wartime television series ever. This was Vic Morrow's defining role, as The Sarge (I can't remember the name right now). And probably the number one reason across the country, that little boys played army, in the sixties. It was a no nonsense type of show. UPDATE: Thanks to Flick01 for reminding me! Vic Morrow was Sgt.
