Yeah, a real hilarious premise. Canned laughter as Schultz is easily bribed by a candy bar while just a few miles away thousands are being stuffed into ovens and gassed to death. Whatever network executive thought this was a good idea really ought to have had his head examined.

I'd like to say I'm offended (the rest of my German family certainly is!) but it was pretty funny. I never even heard of the show until I moved here, but then everybody kept asking if German's are really that stupid. They're not, btw, but for everything that happened they at least(!) deserve to be made fun of.

Funny show that dealt with what could be a touchy subject. It handled it with a great cast and some funny stuff. I used to like how the tunnel would emerge on a tree stump.

A good escapist military show. I think I liked Colonel Klink and Sergeant Schultz (I know nothing!) most of all. Always good for a laugh.
