To me, a hot dog is not a hot dog unless it's all beef, and has mustard, ketchup, onion, and a sprinkle of cheese.

Mustard is the best on a hot dog. I hate it when there is ketchup on it. But I really don't enjoy hotdogs that much.

Spicy or stone ground mustards are better, but there's nothing wrong with regular old yellow mustard.

It MUST be yellow mustard for me, then I add some mild pepper rings and some shredded cheddar cheese.

Simple yet crucial. Another one of my big three.

I used to ut all the junk on my dogs until I saw a documentary that detailed the history of mustard and it's union with the hot dog (Thanks Germany!) Now I'll often have a dog just with mustard - yellow mustard is okay but I like the spicy kind you can get at the deli or even dijon.

A hot dog isn't a hot dog without plenty of mustard.

The classic hot dog condiment. If you can only have one condiment on a 'dog, mustard is it.

The only thing I really like on a regular hot dog. This is starting to make me miss Decker dollar hot dog night at The Ballpark.

I commented on the other mustards on this list without realizing there was one just for yellow mustard. Everything I said there goes for yellow mustard too.

Only if there's no hot mustard, or failing that dijon mustard. But there has to be some mustard, so this will do if all else fails.

It's ok, I'll eat it if that's all there is, but not my preference, and yea, cheese and mustard is a good combo on a hot dog.

This is the classic as far as I'm concerned. Once, I accidently had the vendor add cheese to a hotdog that already had mustard on it. I thought I was going to hate it, but it actually tasted good. That is now my second favorite hotdog type now.
