Can't stand boiled hot dogs. Too soft and mushy for me. Would rather go hungry than eat a boiled hot dog. EDIT: IRISH!! Didn't need to think about that ;)

I agree wholeheartedly. Closely associated with Vienna sausages when prepared this way. Years ago when Lums used to be around, they steamed their hotdogs in beer, they were really good.
