Most likely they'll beat the remaining teams. They've done it before.

We're backkkk! Patriots will win the Superbowl again!

It would truly be a miracle if the Patriots somehow pull off another Super Bowl victory. I don't see it happening however. They are still playing well enough despite key injuries, but not well enough, or consistently enough, to win the big prize. I'll give a lot of credit to Tom Brady for coming up with key plays and a good coaching staff, but they're still not the same team that went to the Super Bowl last year. They still though have a outside chance at an upset.

Hmm... not looking so sure at this point. UPDATE: (shake, shake) hovering around .500 with injury problems. Trouble?
souljunkie 09/29/2005
Allready seeing signs that they wont, but I would bet a lot of money that they are in the playoffs again. Just the mathmatical odds of doing it 3 times in a row go way against them winning the superbowl.

I'd like to think the Pats could pull off another one, but with new coaches and the loss of a few key players, not to mention the defending Super Bowl champion schedule, they've got a tough road ahead.

Not sure who's going to knock off the champs. Dillon and Brady are in their prime, and all other pieces seem to be in place as well.

Until some team shows they've got better stuff, these guys are my early pick to repeat.

Pats all the way baby!! Screw you people who posted below saying otherwise!
Neo17_2005 09/11/2005
Screw the Pats! If they keep winning more Superbowls, it should be called Patriot Bowl.

I hate the patriots! There i said it! I hope tom brady records 10 safety's and gets sacked about 30 times. if they win the superbowl i'll burn my house down!

No team has ever won three consecutive Super Bowls. All that means to me is it hasn't happened yet. This could be the year. New England hasn't shown me anything that turns away from the attitude and drive that gave them victory in the last two. Yes, the have holes to fill, but they had holes to fill last year, too. Outside of Tom Brady going down, I think the Patriots can compensate for any loss. To top it off, I haven't seen enough from any other team in the league to rise to their level.
zuchinibut 08/28/2005
As much as I hate to say it, the Patriots still look like the team to beat. Their organization is extremely well run, and top free agents come to New England for that reason. They are an extremely well coached team, and seem to have a lot of players who buy into their philosophy. Patriots are still on top of the NFL until somebody else steps it up.
louiethe20th 08/23/2005
Until someone unseats them, they would have to be the favorite again. With Brady under center and the great coaching, they are hard to beat.

pats u guys have an ok chance in getting in. pats lost to many key players, and will not make it to knock on the superbowl door
