Hey Jets fan here. We once had high hopes in the start of the season. Then the season came up in smoke because of the injuries, Herm Edwards not being fully prepared for the game. Plus we are 4-12 and all of the Jets fans are wishing for the reset button or Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush and D'Brick. WHAT A DISASTER! UPDATE: Jets hire Eric Mangini from the Patriots, making him the youngest coach in NFL History. Speaking of young, we need to draft D'Brick if he's available when the Jets pick next. Otherwise, we should get Deangelo Williams, the kid from Memphis. Reggie Bush will probably be taken before the Jets pick at #4. Matt Leinart should go to Tennessee and the Saints get Vince young. UPDATE: Bradway is gone. Yes, we no longer have to be plaqued by his draft strategies and free agent signing follies. Now we got Tannenbaum. (sp?)

The Jets looked good coming into the season, but a rash of injuries completely decimated any chances that this team would make it into the Super Bowl. They still have a decent defense, but the offense is almost non-existant here. QB Brooks Bollinger has been an overall disaster, way too inexperienced. They've gone through five quarterbacks this year! Herm Edwards just hasn't gotten a lucky break this year. Look for him to go to Kansas City or maybe even Detroit at season's end.

Pennington is overrated, the offense isn't impressive esp after seeing the game against KC. Sorry Jets fans, looks like another stinker of a season.

Jets will make the playoffs, even if chad pennington is sh!t. New punter Ben Graham will get to the pro bowl.

Assuming that Chad Pennington's arm holds up, the Jets should be a legitimate threat during the AFC playoffs. The Jets defense is solid, and their offense should improve with the return of Laveranues Coles. Curtis Martin was the leading rusher last year, and is proving that he can still get things done in his 30's.

The Jets have upgraded on both sides of the ball this offseason starting with- first and foremost- the firing of Paul Hackett and the hiring of Mike Hermidinger at offensive coordinator. If preseason shows us anything is that the Jets will be getting more vertical this year.Pennington's arm is looking very strong and any worries about him not being 100% when the Jets open up in KC can be forgotten. The swap of Coles for Moss was a huge pick up for the Jets as Moss never really panned out and Laverneous is easily one of the best possession receivers in the game. Moss never had the on field synergy that Pennington and Coles have and as is readily apparent once again here in preseason; And Justin Miller can pick up the slack on special teams. The Jets also have the NFL's leading rusher returning the workhorse Curtis Martin and have picked up Blaylock from the Chiefs who averaged 5 yards a carry in Priest Holmes stead last season, to replace Jordan. The worries about the loss of McKenzie have been put to sleep by Adrian Jones at right tackle who's footwork is much faster than McKenzie's and who's had a very strong camp. With the growth of Jerrico Cotchry as the Jets #4 and his abilities on special teams Jonathan Carter became expendable. And the pick up of Doug Jolley is an improvement over Becht. Look for the Jets to score a lot more points this year in quick bunches unlike last year when we had to Drive Miss Daisy 80+ every series with no plays over 10+. On the defensive side of the ball the big question marks are strong safety with Rhodes the rookie filling in there, Reed taking Fegusons place who signed with Dallas as a free agenet, and whether Abraham is going to be any kind of shape by the time he reports. It needs to be remembered that this was the 7th over all defense last year- who were particularly strong down the stretch and in the playoffs. The team is super fast with Vilma in the middle and Barton and Hobson on the outsides. All Pro Ellis up front with bookend Abraham make the Jets a fast pass rushing team. And look for Dwayne Robertson to have an All Pro type season at the DT position- making the Jets front 7 one of the best if not the best in the NFL. With the signing of Ty Law and Barret a years more experience at the corner they have only improved. Look for the Jets D to be one of the most opportunistic defenses in the league finishing around 4th in total team defense. They're all a year wiser and save for Law, all very young. This is going to be a very tough group to score on this year. The Jets came a field goal away from battling for the AFC crown twice last year because of their kicker simple as that. Yes they should have thrown the ball more down field. Yes they didn't have Abraham but they still were a kick away. This year with the signing of Nuggent all the pieces seem to be in place for the Jets to make a Super Bowl run. The Patriots have been weakened by some huges losses on their defense and the loss of both their offensive and defensive coordinators so my prediction is they take a step back this year. The Jets will take the division at 12-4 and advance to the Big Dance in Detroit. You heard it here first!

first of all this off-season, I think the jets hurt themselves more by losing santana moss, lamont jordan, and waiving WR jonathan carter. I dont even think there new kicker is going to do anything. ty law was good because new england made him look good and plus they still face a hard schedule and division so they'll go 6-10
