The Chargers and their fans all know and want the Superbowl Victory

The Chargers were eliminated from contention for the 2006 NFL playoffs with a loss at Kansas City combined with a Pittsburgh win at Cleveland on December 24.

Their big strength is the passing game, which is lead by Drew Brees, who's having a very good season. Some aspects of their defense is suspect, but they can score, and that's what counts.

I don't think the 2004 season was a fluke. LT is set to have a monster year, and I think the Chargers will push the Colts hard to see who loses to the Patriots in the AFC Championship.

The Chargers are a repeat playoff team, but will they be able to prove that the 2004 season was not a fluke. Last year was Brees' first great year, and Gates' break out season. With Gates holding out for most of camp, will he be able to hook up with Brees the way they did last year. The Chargers look to be a good team, but the Raiders are improved this year, the Chiefs have a great offense, and Denver is always strong, so it will be hard for them to make the playoffs, although they do seem capable.

As much as I would like to see the Texans win it all, I know that's a long way off. I gave the chargers a 5 star but only on one condition: that they would only build on what they had last season. If they can work some kinks out on offense and put that with that dominating defense from last year, they can make a serious Super Bowl run. I just hope the Patriots don't win it again.
