Named after the first Spaniard to ever walk on future Uruguayan soil, the Teatro Solis was Uruguay’s premiere opera and music theatre. Opened in 1856, it was home to some of the world’s best conductors until 1930. It still offers some of the country’s best musical shows and cultural events in its legendary acoustic hall.
