Edmond Black Adder is the spare son of the king. The show is set in medievil times and is about the misadventures of the first Blackadder. Along with Bladrick his always dense servant and Percy his best friend they attempt all kinds of schemes and get into lotS of trouble. Very funny show starring Rowan Atkinson of Mr Bean fame. It can be seen on BBC America.

It just never pulled my sense of humour chord.

The four Black Adder series are all very good, and far better than Atkinson's later Mr. Bean creation. Black Adder 1 is probably the weakest of the 4, but still very good.
