
Set within the walls of of the former General Hospital and built in the late 18th century, this building has been dubbed "the ugliest building in Spain." The inside, though, is much more impressive; it is Madrid's own museum of modern art. There, the works of Spanish contemporary artists Juan Gris, Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró, and Pablo Picasso are showcased, including what is one of Picasso's most famous works, Guernica.
