Most young kids dont realize that while the Doors flirted with terms like "orgasmic rock" and such they were really just a great blues band. Like so much great music (the best really) that came out of the 60's-70's it was all born of the blues. Obviously, the stuff they call "rock' nowadays usually pales in comparison.

First of all, let me say that I'm not entirely positive it's not a Door's original. I just think it sounds far too southern bluesy, an too unlike something Morrison would write, for it to be original. I think I've heard it done by pre-Doors blues guys? Either way, I love the way the Doors did it. Especially live. Songs like this are always the best live. A blues tune like this or Midnight Rambler are YEEEEESSS, the second they start.

Again,I wouldn't rate it above every other song existing, but this is a seminal blues classic.Sinister and foot stompin, todays better music can trace it's roots in this very direction. The Doors captured it's essence perhaps even more deftly than it's originators.
