These guys were great. Not only were the prices very reasonable (my main concern), but they were also on time, and VERY fast at what they do. Fast but not clumsy-- they took their time wrapping furniture in plastic, loading boxes, etc... and were able to empty my old apartment in 30 minutes or less.

They had me moved out of my Kingwood apartment into the Heights in less than 2 hours (the drive alone was nearly an hour). They put my furniture back together + asked where everything should go + nothing broken. I was happy.

I wasn't sure what to expect with the price I was quoted. I will use them again next

Since both my husband and I were crazy busy at work, we needed a moving company that could pack everything for us, move us, and unpack all of the boxes. Air 1 packed up our entire townhouse starting at 7 a.m. on a Saturday, and had us completely moved into our new house by 3:30 p.m. They came back Sunday morning to unpack boxes and finished in less than 3 hours. That is crazy fast! When we moved to Houston it took us a week to pack everything up and who knows how long to unpack all of the boxes.

The rates were super reasonable as well. We paid slightly less than $2,000, and that included all the packing, moving, and unpacking, as well as all of the boxes, paper to wrap things, tape, etc. (you can provide your own boxes and such, but we opted not to). That was much less than we thought we would have to spend to get a full-service move!

In addition to reasonable rates, both the women who packed and unpacked our boxes and the men who moved everything were super professional and on time, which is very rare for movers! In fact, we weren't supposed to actually be moved until the Sunday after the Saturday that our boxes were being packed, but they finished so early that they asked us if we just wanted them to move our stuff on Saturday since they had a truck available. How many times have you had movers who actually got you moved earlier than you expected?

All in all, I was completely impressed with every aspect of the service provided by Air 1 Movers and would heartily recommend them to anyone contemplating a move.

I used AIR 1 for my recent move, and they were plenty reliable. They arrived early, got the job done, and only made me cringe a few times.

The advantages of aIR 1 that led me to choose them out of the many legal and semi-legal ways to have my stuff moved from one apartment to the next:
- A real customer service phone number
- Fast email and phone response
- Uniformed, experienced movers
- Low enough rates to be a smart $ decision (but not so low that I wondered if my movers would be a dude named Bubba and his F-350)
- No funky gas charges, stair charges, wait charges, or other hidden fees

The guys even arrived early! In a perfect world, they might have worked a little faster and been a bit more organized when they unloaded our boxes, but I have nothing to say that's really complaint-worthy.

I too had a horrific experience with Air 1. I was doing a move from Central CA to Northern CA and thought I had thoroughly vetted the company. The move ended up being the most stressful thing I have ever done. The movers were fantastic, but the foreman was a complete a$$. He was rude to my wife and daughter and made racial comments about his workers to us. He was 2 hours late to begin with and then started telling us that we were going to have to pay to have all our furniture wrapped when the quote we received said it included all the wrapping and assembly/disassembly. Like the other ratings here, he rushed me through the paperwork and did not explain any of it. He asked me to sign blank credit card receipts and tried several times to overcharge me for services that were included. Luckily my wife speaks fluent spanish and was able to heed the warnings of the workers who explained that he tried to rip everyone off and to watch ourselves. They tried to bill us an additional $800.00 for additional truck space when we had ordered an entire 24' truck. It took 15 minutes of yelling to resolve that issue with the main office. All in all there are too many things that went wrong to recap them all, but I will say that we are missings items from our move and we are still waiting for the main office to call us back to resolve this. ( Going on a month now ). I would strongly recommend no one ever use this company for moving. Good Luck

Not good moving service good luck

I did my homework, assuring the company was licensed by the state, etc, but in the end they were horrible. The crew couldn't communicate among each other (Arabic v. Spanish). The one guy was completely incompetant. He did not wrap my fragile desktop as they'd promised, damaged it on the stairs during the move, and then promised to "fix" it. They never called back as they'd promised. When I contacted the company, they sent me a claim form and then said they were only responsible for $30 which was the customary 60 cents/lb coverage.(It was an expensive Pottery Barn desktop). There were so many papers to sign in a hurry when they arrived, I thought I was buying a house. Then the lead guy insisted I fill out the survey card on the spot so he would get a good rating (saying it only reflected HIM and not his team). What a joke. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Have them mail you ALL the paperwork to read ahead of time! I vow to never move again.
