Probably the most underrated running back in NFL history. He lead the league in rushing 3 times and averaged over 5 yards a carry for his career which spanned 13 years and garnered him almost 10,000 yards. He unfortunately was plagued by injuries throughout his career including a vicious elbow injury sustained on Monday night against the Dolphins in 1985. In person he was just an absolutely wonderful guy- one of my favorite players when I was a kid- I even wore his number 24 while playing Pop Warner. He always signed autographs and took pictures after the games- a truly great guy and great Jet.
