I can't say that oatmeal is one of my favorite things to eat, but I do eat it once in a while for breakfast. If I had to choose between Cream of Wheat and oatmeal, it would be Cream of Wheat all the way.

I couldn't eat it for breakfast every day, but if I need to stoke up for a day of skiing or hiking or think there is a likelihood that I'll be missing lunch because of a hectic schedule, I'll start with oatmeal, porridge or Red River cereal (I'm not sure if the latter is just a regional name for something else). A handful of the single serving packets are good sources of calories for canoe trips, backpacking or camping.

I've never really embraced the Celtic love of oatmeal. My mother fed this to me for breakfast 5 days out of seven, and I figure I've eaten my share of it.Not that its horrible, but for breakfast I'd rather put two fingers of brandy in a cup of coffee and drink that while I read the morning paper.

When served as part of the ingredients for an oatmeal and raisin cookie then I can guarantee I'll eat it - it's one of my favourites!

I can't believe that people eat hollowed-out turtles filled with yams. I also can't believe that such a simple and delicious food as oatmeal is on this list. "Yum! Can I have another Tarantula Melt?" "Yuck! Is that oatmeal? How disgusting!"

I beg to differ. I prefer the instant Quaker variety (I could eat the reduced-sugar Maple & Brown Sugar and Apple Cinnamon kinds all day), but I find the plain can be helped along with some added fruit preserves.

To my lazy ass, oatmeal is what you eat when nobody wants to make breakfast, or there is nothing in the cabinet. I would never eat oatmeal if I had ANY other option. Sure, it'll do, but not by choice.

Grass is good for you to. And probably tastes twice as good.

I like the original Quaker oatmeal. It tastes good with lots of sugar. I never cared for the flavored varieties.

I try to eat oatmeal at least three times a week. It's taste good, and it's good for you, plus it helps to keep the weight down.

As a kid I liked eating a bowl of warm oatmeal with raisins a bit of milk and some sugar. Now I use it often to make granola with lots of dried fruit and almonds, one of my favorite snacks. My daughter loves the oatmeal raisin cookies that I make her.

I know that oatmeal is supposed to be one of the most healthy and natural things you can eat. It tastes about as natural as you can get, like they dug it up right from the ground.

I like that instant stuff, but can't stand the cooked type. Gross.

Oatmeal is not a favorite of mine, but I don't hate it, either. I know it's nutritious, and I will sometimes eat it.
