I've always found her comments to be lucid, sensible, interesting, funny, informed. Sad to say, she doesn't seem to contribute as much as she used to (or maybe as much as I'd like) but always a must-read when she does.

I guess that she and I do not agree on many of the social issues, but I enjoy her viewpoint, coming as it does, from the British Isles.

Ah, the other "bird" in my RateItAll life, and no less striking and graceful. Quite a bit of fun when she gets on a roll; rational and level-headed (reminds me of Andrew Scott in that regard), writing from a desire to see the other side of many subjects. She DOES manage to float in "under the wire", so to speak, and that's hard for me to understand, as she's literate, conclusive (not a "one-line wonder" who'll leave you gasping for greater depth), and posts on just about every list under the sun (wish MY interests were that broad). Whenever I'm scrolling through any list, I'll see "Bird808@" and immediately stop and read. A dependable RIA fixture whose comments shouldn't be missed.

Really nice reviewer, particularly good at movie analysis. Seems like a positive, well meaning,idealistic poster. Aside from movies, I don't tend to comment all that often on the same topics, as our hobbies and interests don't seem to coincide much- but based on the comments I've read that she's made she appears to be very honest and a happy person who doesn't get bogged down with cynicism, hostility, and negativity.

Excellent reviewer. Bird's posts are always well thought out and well written. Manages to float under the radar a bit, but her comments are definitely worth reading. Just wanted to reitarate that I found Bird808 to be one of the better reviewers on the site. SJ, you have been pretty open about your somewhat hardline views of blacks and women on the site. Doesn't surprise me in the least that Bird would have a problem with you. Probably shouldn't surprise you either.

Well I can see that she has made a good impression on most since coming to the site but I have experienced another side of this 'lovely person'. After asking her to explain one of her comments on my list she flat showed her true colors. I knew she was black before reading any of her posts because of her militant responce and abusive words. She was offended at my opinions and thats perfectly ok, but to tell me I should not have children based on her anger was out of line. So many have managed to voice total disagreement without getting childish and rude so I cant give her high marks. To me, part of earnign high marks means being objective. I knew my list would boil some peoples blood, there are people on this site that I have thought just needed a good ass kicking but I wont sink to a the level of some schoolyard welp. Ive seen folks show disagreement in argument, smugness and passion but if you come at me like an asshole, it simply shows that you have prejudices of your own and you might now want to judge others so quickly.

A reviewer that I personally get along with quite well. We both share perhaps an unhealthy obsession with the Arts and that typically monopolizes most of our reviews. I'm glad to see someone else who treasures real artistic ventures. Her reviews always hit the nail right on the head.
