Bring back my Mr. Peppe's on Lovers Ln. All future epicurean adventures "en-France" will be judged against this "retired" standard. RIP Albert.

Nobody I know accuses "The Grape" of being a French restaraunt - you must have been misled. This is just great fare - french or otherwise - the last evening we visited there were many things on the menu I would tend to call Polynesian in nature. Everything is done well, presented well and the service is excellent. The atmosphere is quaint, funky but very intimate. As stated previously, the menu changes all the time. I have never had anything here I didn't absolutely love and I'm pretty picky!

The Grape is the epitome of average, as far as French food is concerned. Lots of Dallasites rave about this place, but that is common with many mediocre restaurants in the metroplex - especially in Addison. Dallasites need to learn that trendy does not mean good. If you want good French food in Dallas, try Claire du Lune.

My favorite restaurant in Dallas - great food, half portions available for most entrees, good wine list (including the prices!), excellent deserts, and great cheese/meat/fruit appetizers. The menu changes frequently, so I never tire of The Grape. They also have valet - very key for Greenville. It is a bit small and they don't take reservations, but it is definitely worth the wait.
