I've never even felt the impulse to block another reviewer. That kind of stuff is very grade school to me.

As for the disagreements that will inevitably boil up, I can take the heat just fine and will defend myself accordingly. You can't take things too personally in the long haul. You can't say the same for a lot of other people.

It is a good feature, but I've only had to use it once, due to someone sending me something that was very uncalled for, and it may have even been noteworthy to kick them off the site, but I never reported it or said anything about it. I don't see the person around anymore. I think the person was a fly-by-night, anyway.

I don't use it because I try to aggrivate those assholes into blocking me...

It's definitely helpful when it's necessary. Luckily, I haven't had to use it in some time.

I only had occasion to use it once. I had offended some dimbulb and he spammed me with a truckload of threatening private messages. I saved a few of them, sent them to RIA and he was gone. I was pretty confident about the security of my personal information on file with RIA but, to be honest, it became a bit unnerving. When the guy disappeared, it made my confidence in RIA security that much greater. I learned a valuable lesson at about the same time. Tha Lawrence guy? You can't block his messages.

Yeah, I haven't blocked anyone yet, but I've had my finger on the trigger a couple of times. It's nice to know it's there.

Haven't found a use for this yet (so I would have given it a "3"), but I can definately see how this would be useful in certain circumstances, so I'll give it an extra star for the possibility.

The first feedback I got back from another member (from what I thought was a good, slightly humerous, but not great comment) was nasty and bordered on abusive. That from someone with quite a bit of activity here. It was enjoyable to block that idiot...forever.
