I never read any "Ramona" books as a child--the name seemed too odd to me--but I remember reading "Ellen Tebbits," and laughing until tears ran down my cheeks! Later, I read "Ramona" stories to my kids, and found out what I'd missed. Also--as a very young teen, I enjoyed Cleary's teen stories, like "Luckiest Girl" and "Fifteen." I thought they were great books about everyday kinds of kids, like me.
