Poor Basil who owns Fawlty Towers, played by John Cleese, is always trying trying so hard to make his Hotel more uppercrust but it always blows up in his face. This is John's best and funniest work with out the other Pythons. Hysterical material that never seems to get old and an outstanding cast.

I have seldom laughed so hard as my first trip through Basil Fawlty's twisted psyche. 12 of the greatest moments in television.

Considering there were only ever what 12 episodes of this, it was a fine piece of comedy that still even today generates laughs. I appreciated John Cleese far more in this than in Monty Python.

Overall, my favourite show of all time. One of John Clease's best roles in my opinion, even better than Monty Python. Manuel was a great touch to the show as well.

A classic, I especially like Basil, and how he can be mean to people (especially Manuel) and end up falling on his face.
