08/22/2005 | I think IJR and I could have a great conversation and quite a few good laughs.I don't think many of us reviewers are always in total agreement about anything,and that goes for he and I,but I have often enjoyed his reviews and found them well written even if my opinion was the opposite.Sounds like a fun guy!

08/21/2005 | IJR and I have, at least seemingly, some diametrically opposed views and feelings on political and social issues. But, I have to say, he's more than sensible in the few personal notes we've exchanged, and having a meal with him probably would prove to be a venue where we migh both see things just a bit differently. I'd insist on both of drinking a lot of wine, though - it's an amazing way to make people become agreeable (usually - sometimes they just get cranky and antagaonistic, but it's a chance I'd take).

08/21/2005 | IJR doing the cooking, I'll have dinner with him! Even if he wasn't, I may have to try to impress him with my very average cooking skills! IJR is a really nice person and he has sent good messages to me.
