Richie Cunningham's bastard lovechild won 74 games on Jeopardy and made that cognitive neuroscientist his bitch on GSN Grand Slam. No, it's not fixed.  Kenbot used his Jedi mind tricks to win.

Only bit of intelligence on the TV in years. Now back to the "reality" shows(pulls trigger).

They don't need to fix Jeopardy...if was a fix it would be some politically correct person...like a chick.

Not these days. The networks and show operators got into too much hot water in the past and, I belive, laws were enacted. THey are keeping it straight these days.

I respect how modest he is for starters. He was a member of the BYU College Bowl team in the 90's and currently writes and edits literature questions for the National Academic Quiz Tourney. He is an avid reader and was a literature major in college. He is also a huge movie buff.I do not think it is fixed at all, he is just that good.He has the uncanny ability to retain huge amounts of info (aka I.Q.)he is also very adept at the use of the buzzer and wagering wisely on the Daily Doubles. The guy, to me, is near genius levels! He is fun to watch!***Update:With his recent defeat in the Tourney of Champions,it proved not to be fixed after all.

Big news everyone! Ken just lost (the episode aired just yesterday). At the moment when he lost, the audience gasped (loudly). Well, Andrew Scott, it's time for your friend Nick to shine! Tell him I said good luck.

Ken Jennings seems like the real deal. True story - my brother's old college roommate Nick was picked to appear on Jeopardy recently and was slated to go up against KenJen. Funny thing, Nick actually knows Ken from the College Bowl circuit. After telling the producers that, they told Nick that he couldn't appear on Jeopardy until after his acquaintance is off the show. Might be a while! After that day finally comes, look for a 30 year old with big light brown curls named Nick Meyers to appear. When I hear of his Nick's actual air date, I'll update this post for anyone curious.

I have known Ken all his life. I think I know his family pretty well(when his parents became engaged a friend said: :No fair, you'll spawn a super race!). Ken is a gifted young man whose life experience (e.g. being raised overseas) developed his natural gifts. I'm not at all surprised at his knowledge. I AM surprised at his buzzer skill. Anyone who has watched Jeopardy! being taped (as I have on more than one occasion) will know there is no way to rig it. Ken's adversaries generally say he is such a nice guy, that they can't resent him even though they lost. Ken DOES have a fiercely competitive spirit, but he is never mean spirited about it. He respects the skills of his competitors and will be a gracious loser when the time comes. And Jeopardy! had no idea a win streak would cause ratings to soar. Would they have risked total regulatory destruction and personal criminal sanctions in Feb-Mar in faint hope of a ratings boost in Jun-Jul? Ken is the genuine item . . . and my son, I'm proud to say.

Poston89, on August 12 12:47 a.m. I respect Ken Jennings as a very smart man and I would not mind to think of him as my friend. I have watched Jeopardy for almost a year straight and Ken could beat any past champion without using a spec of his knowledge. I believe Ken to be the smartiest man alive. I stillo think taht eventually Ken will never be beaten butwill leave Jeopardy because of time missed with family or friends and can't wait for the next season to start on September 6. For now peace out.

Ok, I probably shouldn't rate this since I haven't watched Ken Jennings on Jeopardy, but I think it is plausible that someone could be as smart and well-informed as this guy seems to be. I also think that Alex Trebek takes his job seriously enough that he wouldn't allow any cheating or shenanigans to occur on Jeopardy.
