Boo! Brookline is full of freaks. They would build a wall around it to keep people from Boston coming in if they could. They shouldn't even be in a list of Boston neighborhoods as they think they are too good for their snobby britches.

Brookline is a very nice community with a mix of urban and surburban areas and some sophistocated offerings. Its fairly down to earth although very high brow in some places and historically home to the 1st country club in America.

Technically, Brookline, home of the Kennedys and now more soccer moms than you can count, though mostly surrounded by the city, is a suburb.

Brookline is nice, rich, residential, quaint, and comfortable. I probably wouldn't mind living here in about 25 years or so - but not quite yet.
