03/21/2007 | I always think the kids nowadays that whine about walking to school need to hear my mothers story. She had to walk to a one room school in the country that was heated by a wood burning stove! Those winters up there are pretty harsh!

10/08/2006 | Actually, if you don't live too far from the school, it is a great way to start your day - fresh air, lots of movement, a time to wake up! I walked to school every day.

12/16/2005 | Oh yes - all those miles through snow and ice ... but it was kind of fun to meet up with your friends and walk to school and back home in the afternoon.

11/05/2005 | I remember this for a significant part of my life. It was great living in a town where you could see the school from our yard, if you tried. Not sure I'd be willing to try this today, things being what they are.

08/26/2005 | That isn't just something that happened in the past. There are lots of people who walk to school because they don't live very far. I would of if I was close enough.
