Yeah, before there were TV dinners there were radio dinners, and before that was lunch.

The TV dinner was invented by Gerry Thomas in 1954, as there as a trend after WW2 of wanting appliances to save time, and the medium of television, still in its infancy, was growing. That's 19 years before I was even born.

However, I do remember TV dinners when there wasn't quite as big a variety to choose from as there is now.

I dont remember, but my mom said her pet goat was killed for food on the family farm.
