 | Gentle Jude (23) 09/02/2005 | It is unfortunate that things are like that. People who think of themselves as being smart tend to look down on others, especially people who don't share the same gifts. They almost think of themselves as being better and get impatient. There is a verse in 1Corinthians in which Paul told people not to boast as if things were theirs. Because everything we have is a gift from God. We are actually nothing (Potter and the Clay) except for clay (just about). We have no form and are made from nothing. But the only reason why we have intelligence, character, a spirit is because God made us that way. If it wasn't for God, then we wouldn't have intelligence to boast about. If anyone thinks of themselves as being smart, they actually don't know what they aught to know. But people who look down on themselves want to be smart. But the meek shall inherit the earth. Just remember that the smarter you are, the more is expected of you.
