The museum was undergoing renovations during my last visit, but the high points of their collection was still on display, although in a somewhat limited manner. SOme great Rembrandts, among other Dutch masters!

Rijksmuseum is cool, though it didn't grab me as much as the Van Gogh Museum next door.  What I liked about it is that it attempts to tell the history of the Netherlands via its artists, and is chronologically presented.  I liked especially the emphasis on art about ships and the sea (the Dutch navy were a powerful force back in the day).
