The Concertgebouw (Concert Hall) in Amsterdam was completed in April 1888, designed by architect Adolf Leonard van Gendt. The main concert hall seats 2,000 guests; a smaller auditorium is used for smaller solo concerts. The Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra) is regarded by some as the world’s finest orchestra. The Concertgebouw hosts approximately 650 to 800 concerts per year..
