Beacon Hill is charming, and for me to say that its a lot since I hate Boston. However, the area is rich in history and rich in general! The homes are beautiful and the area has a feeling of money and history in the air. Check out the area as its quite nice.

One of the most charming neighborhoods in the quaint city of boston. Although pricey and expensive apartments, mostly very smaller sized too, its a very safe neighborhood to live in. The hills do help tone your buns and glutes. Its always quiet, and i love some of the side streets with the cobblestone.

It reeks with its Personality Disorders of stuck ups.

A quiet, wealthy historical neighborhood that makes a pleasant escape from the chaos and traffic of the State House/Commons area. The main street is filled with the usual upcale boutiques selling overpriced art/antiques/clothing, but the most notable feature of Beacon Hill is its architectural beauty and harmony. A pleasant neighborhood to visit; far more relaxing than nearly anywhere else in Boston.

Costs more than the GNP of many third-world countries, but it is a classy neighborhood worth visiting. . .good bars and restraunts to visit while spending a short time in Baw-ston. . .

Beacon Hill is stunning. It's a maze of little streets through brick buildings, with the main drag of Charles Street lined with little pubs with the name of the proprietor on them, and quaint little shops and restaurants. My brother lives here in a tiny little place (the rents are crazy) with rooftop access. On sunny days the roofs are packed with folks hanging out - it's pretty neat. Because it's so old, and so unchanged, I have to think that Beacon Hill is one of the most unique American neighborhoods.

Very wealthy area with a lot of historical sites and attractions-The Boston Common, The State House, a tour of African-American historical sites ( in the 1700's and early 1800's, the foot of the hill was home to a thriving population of free blacks) and more. Forget about living there (unless your name is W. Reginald Montague the 5th or something and you are currently sitting on top of a mountain of 10,000 dollar bills instead of a chair reading this nonsense from me- in which case why the hell are you reading this rather bitter posting of a neighborhood by me instead of cornering the orange juice market like Ralph Bellamy and Don Ameche in Trading Places?): obviously, the bad points are snobby people and you pretty much have to be quite rich to live there.

A gorgeous neighborhood with picture perfect brownstone living. Walking the narrow streets in this beyond quaint neighborhood is very enchanting with nicely restored brick townhouses, black shutters, flower boxes, some cobblestone streets, gas lantern street lamps, wrought iron gates in Louisbourg Square, and a colonial village feel. I can not not think of another neighborhood in this country that replicates a European residential neighborhood as well as Beacon Hill does. Very charming indeed.
