Hmm. . .Shulie had a few good games and I always felt he came into DC at a bad time- when their owner (a terribly mannered munchkin named Dan Snyder) started moving players and coaches around like Lego blocks. . .Shulie did disappoint, but I will always wonder what might have been if he hadn't played for such a dysfunctional franchise. . .

Not Ryan Leaf, but still a solid five. Beat on, beat up, and beat down. UPDATE: Come on, buddy. 33 picks don't lie, Mike. I'll give you the fact that Shuler was dropped into the NFL equivilant of a cesspool, but I still must stand by my five here. In your boys defense, I will again say this: He's not Ryan Leaf.

Heath Shuler was hardly one of the top 10 busts of all time. Maronovich and Enis....are.........but Shuler did show flashes of brilliance and did have awesome ability. He also showed great dedication. But no ones greatness could have improved the situations Heath was put in. His injury ended his career, not his poor play!

Heath Shuler is my all-time #1 draft bust. He was supposed to be Washington's franchise player, but ended up with a career 15 to 33 TD to INT ratio. Ryan Leaf's numbers were worse, 14 to 36, but I'm not a Chargers fan. No player on one of my favorite teams has ever been as big a bust as Heath Shuler.
