Death. Taxes. People trying to take your money or freedom. Penn State RB's not doing well since Curt Warner. The Jets weren't paying much attention to history or common sense.

Blair Thomas actually played fairly well his first two years, but as LanceRoxas said the Monday night was a turning point. There was another game where Thomas came out on the first three carries and picked up about 40 yards and then dropped a short pass and the idiot coach Bruce Coslet pulled him for the rest of the game. Coslett was part of the problem. He never wanted Thomas drafted. Blair got deeper into the doghouse when he had a some nagging persistant injuries. Blair went on to play for the Cowboys, New England, and for the Panthers. Blair played six years in the NFL so that is not a complete bust!

Blair actually put together one above average season rushing for over 900 yards for about 3.7 yards a carry. But after fumbling away a victory on Monday night against the Bears- a game in which he rushed for over 130 yards- he never seemed right again. I may be over stating that particular occurance but he never rushed for over 100 yards in a game again. He became extremely hesitant and never exploded through wide open holes (not that the Jets line create a copious amount of these in the early 90's). After being cut Blair failed to make it even behind the vaunted Dallas line proving he was never going to shine in the NFL. Considering he was the overall #1- yes a huge bust. I'm going to only give him a 3 though because he showed some small flashes unlike some others on this list. On a side note he was also a very nice guy in person and always pleasant with the fans.

I think he went to Penn State. That should have been the first clue.
