I spoke with a Susan Peterson from Tiburon Financial who after calling me lots of names, lowered her voice and said you can just f--- off! I wish I had it recoreded. If you evern talk to you dont give her money. She is one of those bad 20 20 collectors who is bipolar and crazy. she changed throuhout the ranting I got from her!

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE CORY G. HICKS & ASSOCIATES!!!! If you want to deal with an ethical business and good people in general, I highly suggest not using the above mentioned firm. There are many more-qualified companies available, which will treat you much better.

I looked on RATEITALL for a section on rating collection agencies. this is all I found so far. I am writing to ask if anyone out there has had experiences with collection agencies calling them trying to collect on debts. In our case this debt is not even ours but a relative who died almost two years ago. Much as I can figure when they tried to find her they got my phone number as well. I have not picked up just let the voice mail take it. each time we get a recording telling us they are looking for my relative and how is she going to make arrangements on paying them. I have been reading online about this particular agency called Allied interstate, and hear they are very nasty. they cuss at people call them liars, demand payment even when told they have the wrong person and we do not have any debts turned into collections. I was wondering if anyone out there has heard of Allied Interestate, or got stuck dealing with these kind of agencies? So far some of the stuff I have read about this company is bad, they sound like real bullies.sorry to put it on this category about blogs. could not find anything else i could put it on.would appreciate any advice. UPDATE: after four months i finally called Allied and told them my relative died two years ago.she did not have an executor to her will. We did send death certificates to some places she owed money and a small note that said she died with no money. the woman says my husband's nameand asks if I know him. I said yes. she did not give me a chance to say anything.all he did was send a small note saying she was deceased. we were not her executor though. she had a very old will and the those they assigned were all dead. Now allied is implying they are turning it over for payment after she asked about my husband and is trying to say he must be the executor. he is not. can they try and collect from us just because we sent a death certificate.? he did not say he was executor. can they actually try and get money from us now? again, we ARE NOT The Executors! she did not say what the debt was for.and why my husband's name has come up. I would appreciate it if anyone has had any experience with one of these scummy places what we should do. We have never co-signed on anything of hers. and we have never sent anything claiming to be her executor. since we are NOT. Can anyone out there give us their ideas what we should do. We do not in anyway owe money from my mother. sorry this is so long! how big of crooks can these jerks be.I know they like to use scare tactics. and others have said to not let them scare us into paying a debt that we have no resposibility for.
