 | James76255 (23) 09/03/2005 | Obviously, this is where the nightmare stems from. The flooding after the hurricane went through was bad, but not tragic. Once the levee gave away, it turned into a war zone.

 | Mr.Political (20) 09/03/2005 | Floods are what make many hurricanes particularly catastrophic...and Katrina is certainly no exception. Many areas are flooded in six to nine feet of water and in other locations even more causing devastation and damage that will last long after Katrina has lost all strength. Many people fled to their attics in hopes of escaping the flooding but ended up trapped with water up to their necks only to possibly die of drowning.
