Royal Melbourne Zoological Gardens (Melbourne Zoo) 5

  This is one of the world's great zoos.  It has three locations: The classical zoo in Parkville with great gardens, and all the animals one would expect from lions to butterflies. The Werribee Open range zoo with Southern White Rhinos to Giraffes in a safari type setting and Healesville where you can get a great Australian animal experience in the bush - see the koalas, kangaroos, platypus etc.
