lol Svedka vodka is a joke. More marketing bs. I tried it because it was discounted big time. It's not bad but it's also not good. Not smooth really and hope you like hangovers because you'll get one drinking this stuff. It's not bad at all if you mix it and have a few but this is a vodka you don't wanna get drunk on. Hangover city.

It's ok...It has kind of a "plastic-y" aftertaste and it's a bit hot.For my money Olifant is way WAY better!
felixml 09/30/2009
Great value, very inexpensive, so much better than Absolut.Since Costco started selling it at a ridiculous price, had multiple chances to retry.Every time enjoyed it more and more, now definitely in my Top 10.Just a wonderfully smooth, taste and aftertaste free stuff. What a buy!!!

Good vodka - Good Price
twansalem 08/20/2009
I'm no vodka snob, so I haven't had any of the more expensive brands, but in my price range Svedka is about the best there is. I have no problem drinking an extra, extra dry vodka martini (i.e., couple shots of vodka, throw in an olive or two, no vermouth in sight) made with Svedka, but I wouldn't do it with anything else available for well under $20.
imogen 06/19/2009
Svedka is not bad, but it is certainly not great. If Banker's Club warrants a 1-star, then Svedka probably ranks with Finlandia as garnering a solid 3-star. It is not bad vodka, but it is a bit harsher than the smoother types like Absolut or Stolichnaya. If you can afford it, I recommend you spring for the slightly more expensive brands.
lma3113 06/15/2009
This vodka is super smooth and refreshing. I often cook with this Vodka and it makes a perfect vodka sauce, but make sure you cook it for a very long time because this vodka has flavor. Chill in your freezer and pour a glass to relax, but don't have too much or it might not be a relaxing night. Also, mix with cranberry and lime juice for a treat!
reetastic 06/09/2009
Very smooth- most extremely excellent price! if haven't tried it, DO IT.
underratedand1 00 04/29/2009
This Vodka is available at as low as $9.99 per fifth. This is the best vodka in the 9.99-11.99 dollar price range hands down. If this shit was a bit more expensive who would think anything of it?
pjpants79 04/23/2009
My husband and I were planning to make cosmos and purchased this vodka after the salesman at the liquor store recommended it. I thought the flavor wasn't too bad, but it did burn a bit going down. My husband didn't care for the aftertaste. Would I buy it again? Probably not, but I'll definitely finish the bottle we bought.
trebon1038 03/13/2009
Like many others I find this one of the best in the "middle priced range" vodkas. This is about the only brand I buy anymore. I like my martinis and dont have the budget to keep kettle one or belvadere in the house so once I tried Svedka, I was hooked.Update: Since a friend sold me on Luksusowa vodka....Svedka has moved to number two.
romovid87 03/06/2009
Tastes ok, there are many better vodkas out there for similar prices. This vodka has a harsh afterbite though. try Absolut or three olives for the price tag.
johniepoli 12/27/2008
Pretty good vodka and fair price! Better for mixing with drinks
hfa7134 11/01/2008
I find that Svedka Vodka is more affordable than Grey Goose and taste great. I use to be a Grey Goose only fan until the time Americans were protesting French products. The man at the liquor store showed me an article in The Wine and Spirits Magazine that Svedka was rated #2 and Grey Goose was #1 for taste. So I decided to try the Svedka and now Svedka is #1 to me.
kjhfiy5eiytf 08/28/2008
I'm a Kettle and Goose fan, but for the money, pure quality and just fine as a mix, I'll stick with Swedka Vodka for a good while. I just bought my first 1.75L in Beavercreek, Ohio for $25. A 1.75L Goose was about $50. Go Svedka!!!
MiamiNat22 08/22/2008
I get a lot of hype from my die-hard Goose and Van Gogh fans, but I have made them drinks using Svedka, and they haven't been able to tell the difference!
tomcruise 08/21/2008
Judging by the reviews I can the predictions that as svedka became more popular the price would rise were right on the mark. It's now more expensive then pinnacle around my neck of the woods. Pinnacle is cheaper and bit more clean. This isn't terrible vodka but worth a few more bucks hard to say since I really like svedka advertising. Any company that has the stones to mock $cientology can't be that bad.
Essexxx 07/27/2008
Have a shot and discover why this stuff is so cheap. Still, it does the trick.
youwouldliketo know 07/26/2008
Very nice vodka. Not the best but, not bad either. Doesn't have a burn (if you mix it), doesn't leave you feeling like complete hell the next day and not to bad of a price.
brewzter 07/10/2008
Taste is clean without a big aftertaste... good for mixers and makes great martinis! Priced Right for anybody!
robbbb 06/09/2008
Svedka "all natural" Citron is awful. It has a chemical taste that resembles how Lemon Pledge smells. I tried to contact Svedka, but interestingly, their website is not running. I've entered a one star rating only because it was the lowest available. I would actually rate it in the negative.
vodkaman25 05/01/2008
I got this vodka before learning about burnetts vodka and sobieski vodka. This vodka has a harsh burn to it and does not go down smooth. It's another overpriced, overhyped vodka that has no character to it. It's up there with Absolut and taste better then smirnoff but not much. Mixes well but go with burnetts instead for 1ltr it's 9 bucks! Cant beat that
zippygas 03/21/2008
crappy vodka for a bargin price in a nice looking bottle..... I buy it all the time to use in mixed drinks but never strait... great value for the money when you don't want to waste the good stuff like chopin in a vodka tonic. Try it with pear nector as a mix..
bigpony 03/18/2008
I was an Absolut lover, I tried Svedka, and I was hooked. I was drinking late into the night, and woke up the next morning and went to the gym for a workout, I had absolutely no hangover! Unbelievable drink. If I'm not careful, I could drink this stuff everynight. I love the smooth taste, excellent mixer, you can hardly taste it.
fyr3wyr3 03/16/2008
smells like rubbin alcohol, but works so awesome as a mixer. i could never drink this stuff neat or on the rocks. its so cheap too. $15 for a fifth
rosetreats 02/28/2008
I love Svedka. The one vodka that is inexpensive and very smooth with no nasty aftertaste. I like Belvadere also, but its way over priced when I can just buy the big bottle of Svedka for less than $20.
Tyakaflex 02/15/2008
Svedka is very good Vodka. My vodka of choice is usually Belvadere however for the price, Svedka has by far become my first pick. As long as their prices are this good and the taste is this smooth, it will stay stocked in my home bar!
wannawatch 01/19/2008
Svedka is a very good vodka. Its smooth and you barely can taste it. I mix it with cranberry juice and find it to be very good, and at an absolutely great price. I find it to be better than Grey Goose and Absolut. I just have to find a Costco that carries liquor and compare the Svedka to the Kirkland brand that I hear is outstanding.
tunaroll 01/17/2008
A very clean, high quality vodka at a reasonable price.
bayoublues 01/11/2008
I drink vodka straight. The best vodka for me is Chopin, a potato vodka. I tried Svedka and for the price, I bought 1.75 liter bottle for $30.00 in Seattle, WA, I would certainly use Svedka for a good martini. However, it was average in taste as a shot. Svedka was odorless with a very smooth taste and a semi burn, but it was the lingering alcohol aftertaste which made me give Svedka three instead of four stars. Svedka is the perfect vodka for martinis!
GeneHilbert 12/27/2007
I like it........
zuchinibut 12/22/2007
I gave myself a blind taste test with Svedka and Grey Goose, and came away preferrnig Svedka. It doesn't have the brand recognition as many other vodkas, but it is high quality for its price.
JimmyJ 12/22/2007
This is a great mixer, many times I can find it for about $18 for a 1.75 at Costco. It goes great with Monster. If you are drinking martinis, then use Kirkland or Sveka, both available at Costco. These are the three brands I use and I have never ever had a complaint except from one ahole who only drinks KettleOne. Well I did a drink taste test for him between Kettle and Smirtnov and he picked the Smirnov. You see some people are always sold on brand names. These are very insecure people who think that what they wear or drink will make them more popular. They need to wake up.
PJAM 08/18/2007
Buy it by the case now, Svedka is becoming one of the best kept secrets in the world of smooth vodkas. I used to drink only Grey Goose. Found it at Woodmans grocery for $9.95 750ml, cheapest I have ever found it. Seen it as high as $15.95. Svedka will certainly raise prices as demand increases.
jc70 07/14/2007
Don't tell anyone. It is fast becoming the worst kept secret. Been buying Stoli for years....not anymore.
Jeff67891 06/10/2007
Best vodka I've ever had. Virtually no burn drinking it. It's almost as smooth as water. At Target, it's almost half the price of Absolut or Stoli for a 1.75L. It's a bargin plain and simple. Plus Swedish purity or sanitary standards are higher than Russian. The best vodka for the money by far.
bmiller474 06/03/2007
I can't tell the difference in a martini between this and Grey Goose or Kettle One. This is the only vodka I buy now. In my opinion, you are just paying for advertising and wasting you money to pay more. But that is my taste buds.
stray 05/30/2007
fRank0 04/30/2007
Incredible value. Almost as smooth as Ketel One for less money.
nunu 04/19/2007
its good vodka for d price 100%
Rob1 04/12/2007
Has to be the smoothest vodka I have had, and for the price, you can not beat it. I have had people come to my home who only drink Gray Goose, and swear, by it. I let them try a Svedka martini, and now 8 out of 10 of my friends have switched. Not everyone will feel the same as I have read the reviews here. But for me the taste and the value can not be beat. If you drink your vodka strait up, or on ice, this is the one for you.
whatisdylar 02/11/2007
Like the last reviewer, I drank nothing but Stoli (when drinking vodka) for years and one day found Svedka in the store for $5 cheaper so I tried it. Absolutely no difference. Just good, clean vodka, which left me totally headache free (I'm not sure I buy the review below that claims it gives him a headache. Must work for Stoli.) Once the liquor store knocked the price down to $10.99, i stocked up. Great stuff.
rickj 01/15/2007
I was a Stoli drinker for years (and still am). I drink it on the rocks so taste is important. (I can pick Stoli in a line up of other vodka's - no joke). I moved to Kettle and settled there for a while. The drawback was the cost of these where killing my budget. After a few different trys we found Svedka and havent looked back. For the price and its the flavor from the distillation process - you can beat it!
goat777 10/27/2006
if you enjoy a splitting headache the next morning then swedkas is for you
trikhop 09/05/2006
For the price, the best you can get.
ColsonDamn 09/02/2006
Best F'in Vodka I've ever had!!!
Drrbar 05/28/2006
Svedka is in no way competeing for a best vodka title, it is not the smoothest, cleanest, or the best consistency, but compared to any other vodka in its price range ($14 for 750ml) it is undoubtedly the king.
delbomber 03/12/2006
Wow, what a bargain. Their marketing campaign may imply typical party rubbing alcohol, but in several tastings Svedka regularly rated near the very top (3/4 taste, average of 3.5/4 smoothness). Pleasant smell, extra smooth, and light agreeable flavor...there are better vodkas out there, but for this price it's tempting to ignore them.
yousuckharder 02/28/2006
I would say a completely underrated vodka, but it seems a few people know of the beauty of svedka. One must have ice, of course, but it is exceptioanlly smooth. As others have said before me, and not yet gone before me into valhalla, SVEDKA is SMOOTH VODKA! smooth as skyy, cheap as smirnoff. Simply put: have it on hand, even if you suck and don't like it :P (don't take that too personally folks, I have a weakness for this vodka) It has definitely earned its stars, though, in many a vodka and cranberry, or with ice alone. (of course, never at room temperature or warm will I ever drink a vodka, it would be like drinking Sake cold! BLASPHEMY!)
tuaca20 01/30/2006
This is a very smooth vodka i think one of the best that i have tried......
