First time I visited the cheesecake factory was today ( sept.1 ). I was given a gift certificate and stopped in to purchase a couple cheesecakes to go. The lady at the cash register was so pleasant and helpful! I am in customer service myself and realize how important it is to have such a valuable employee and the impression it can leave with a customer. She was friendly, interested, and a nice relaxed sense of humor. I left with a smile on my face and couldn't wait to come back! I seriously think she deserves a BIG FAT RAISE! Most people today have become accustomed to bored, frustrated, underpaid hourly workers, that recite the necessary obligatory words with no interest at all in helping the customer. How refreshing to encounter someone with a genuine smile that truly enjoys what she does. Don't let this one get away!! I feel bad I did not get her name. ( middle aged woman with short light hair ) But this was at your Ross Park store at about 1:45 on Sept.1. Don't neglect t... Read more

If you want to spend a small fortune on totally poor quality service and food, then this is the place for you. I just ate at Cheesecake Factory in Honolulu near Waikiki Beach. The first clue that I should leave was the 15 minute wait at 3 in the afternoon. The second tip off was our waiter - LUKE was totally drunk and came up to us three times saying, "Are you ready to order yet?" This was after he already took our order! We wound up asking another waiter to help and he did - but he brought out food for our party of four one at a time - mine the last to come out - after they realized that my food was never ordered to begin with! Then the food - can you say AWFUL?! I couldn't eat it - it was greasy and totally not at all what I expected. On the positive side - their cheesecake is pretty good -but be prepared to pay $8 for a slice of cheesecake. Of course, LUKE made a mess of the whipped cream all over the plate. Then he asked us after we finished our cheesecake if we wanted des... Read more

First time at CheeseCake Factory in Tucson, AZ on Oracle Rd. Whole family was there for the first time. Was expecting good food, but everything were loudsy. Wife paste was dry hard and greasy. Son ordered steak and shrimp, but the sauce is too sweet to be on steak. My ordered was Shrimp and chicken gumbo and when it came there was no shrimp. I'm not the type to complain about food for fear of retaliation from the cook. So won't be going back. Give it a thumb down.

Went to Oak Brook IL. location today (4/6/11)...we ordered Crab Cakes, Steak Diane, Asparagus, Bistro Shrimp Pasta, and kids menu Chicken Quesadilla. I was surprised that the crab cakes were very crispy on the outside like a falafel, but the inside was runny, like they were fried frozen. I was even more surprised when my daughters quesadillas came to us almost 10 minutes before the adult meals and rediculously surprised to find that the tortillas were dripping oil and two of the four pieces did not have a single piece of chicken in them. When we were served our meals, the Steak Diane tasted great! On my third bite I put a piece of steak, mushroom, and mashed potato on my fork, bit into it and immediately spit it out after biting into what tasted like a block of hard sand. I looked in the napkin and there was a piece of GLASS about 1/4" x 1/4" mixed in the bite. I called the manager and she took the glass and plate in the back and offered to make me another one after they throw o... Read more

This is for all Cheesecake Factory in Houston: My friend and I were going to have a sixteen for another friend. She wanted to have it at the Cheesecake Factory. So I told her to call right away thinking that it would be crowded. So we reserved tables for 30. On the day of the sixteen, as we enter in, we told them that we made a reservation for L*******. Next thing you know, they said there was no reservation for that person. We were super mad cause supposedly we were to have a confirmation number, which we nevered received. And this is just recently. Me and a 2 of my other friends were going to the Cheesecake Factory and eat. Their was no need to wait cause the place seemed pretty empty. We went in and stood there and another family walked in. They looked at us and went straight for the family that came after us. So I went up to them demanding that they served us. Food were terrible and worst customer service ever. AND TRUST ME, EVEN WAL-MART CHEESECAKE IS A WHOLE LOT BETTER THAN THEIR... Read more

Just ate here in Arlington TX, at Parks Mall. We were riding high after the big Super Bowl win. 2 people 4 glasses of wine, 2 orders of small bites, 2 pasta dishes, 2 take home cheesecakes. With tax and tip was well over $100. In my opinion, with a whole second meal to take home and the great wines we had it wasn't horrible. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable, great mood lighting, relaxing. I thought the prices were in line with the quality of the food, the service and the portions. Was nice to sit down after shopping and relax. Food was very very good. My friend had 3 cheese penne in alfredo sauce...she thought it was the best cheese dish (and we are from WI) I had the pasta carbonara with chicken...very very good, however the peas had freezer burn and i would not oreder with chicken if I ordered again, but the taste was good. Very smoky bacon flavor and pasta cooked perfectly. Our server was very friendly, everything was "yes ma'am" I am 35, my fiend was 25, we were hardly ma'a... Read more

I am going to base my review mainly on food, and a bit on service to be fair. I have been to soooo many locations in two different states. They are not at all "equal" I have had great service and shitty service, great food at one and not so great to down right i wouldn't eat it..the dessert was always on point though! I also love the bread. They are pricey but it is to be expected(I MEAN THEY HAVE A MENU WITH PRICES PEOPLE...DO NOT ACT SO SURPRISED!) Location in sawgrass mall in sunrise is hit or miss with service, the place is always busy though. I will make a point though...I am not at all difficult or rude with my servers, ever, this never helps the situation. But I also know how to talk to people ( a talent many people do not possess ...shocking, i know..) So I can only recall one experience on which I left..i will post that later!) Not all their dishes are great..I dont expect that either. However, I always loved the Jamaican shrimp dish and the jambalaya dis. Both are great. My s... Read more

This place is hell for anyone who is trying to lose weight. The cheesecake factory is nortorious for having the most high-calorie, high-salt, high-fat items in the restuarant industry. Try going next door to the pizza place and ordering three large pies for yourself; you'll have half the calories and a better deal on price. ;)

Cheesecake Factory in Chestnut Hill,MA is terrible. They did not bring food for my son and when I asked they said " it is coming". I asked again but they had never made it. After 10 minutes that my 8 yrs. old child had to wait, a waiter brought the food which was uncooked. He was so hungry. Nobody came to apologize or anything, probably it was not a big deal! Bigger shock, they gave me 2 $ off, only two dollars! What was it for??

I have been tpw the Cheesecake factory several times and I am never dissapointed, the wait is always long - but that lets you know if people are willing to wait for the food then it must be good, and it is definitly worth the wait. The prices are very resonable and the selection of food on the menu is outstanding and should please the pickiest eaters. The selection of cheese cake and other types of cakes/desserts is also outstanding! everything i have ever had is outstanding. i would highly recommend the cheesecake factory to anyone looking for a excellent, inexpensive meal, in a nice setting..

Friday I took time off to treat me. My day was great until I went to the Cheese Cake Factory in Towson, Maryland. My waiter Scott, was attentive to those around me but not to me. I had to sit with the wrong meal in front of me and wait until he came back through the isle attending to his other customers. i caught him as he was leaving and said, I don't think this is what I ordered. He said no, took the food and came back about 10 minutes later with my meal. It took over 35 minutes for me to get my right meal. The chicken was pink, I asked him to get it grilled a little longer. that took 25 minutes. So now an hour later I am eating. While eating watching Scott be attentive to those around me while my drink requires a refill. I ate and sat 20 minutes before I caught Scott again to request my check. It took 13 minutes before I got my check. When he bought it back to the table he told me my pizza would be coming soon. The pizza was the to-go meal I ordered in the beginning,... Read more

Last night I visited the Cheesecake Factory on Las Olas Blvd in Fort Lauderdale Florida. I ordered chicken breast terriyaki with rice and when I received the platter it had a piece of chicken with two legs sticking up drowning in terriyaki sauce. I was under the impression that it was a "chicken breast" not bone chicken legs. When I complained to the waiter he said that I could have it either way. Perhaps if he would have told me that when I ordered the dish ( it is NOT on the menu that way) then I would have not been told off by this waiter in a very very rude fashion for ordering it WRONG. I thought the Customer was alwys Right!!! ? He was very short with his answers, rude and not sympathetic. I ordered a salad instead of another platter that would take fifteen more minutes to make, said Mr. Personality....so I opted for the salad. I got a piece of cheesecake to go.................to comfort me and be away from him.....the nasty waiter.,.. Warning, look out for Mr. Nasty a... Read more

Always have a good experience going to Cheesecake Factory in Houston, Texas ( Galleria location) Atmosphere is great... always busy but the servers are all so nice. The food is not 5 star but still excellent in its own way. Love the brown bread!!! Usually order the same chicken dish and the salad with goatcheese and pecans. You probably wont believe this but sometimes... if i am arriving late in Houston, i dial the cheesecake factory number on my way from the airport....order my chicken and salad and sometimes my vanilla cheesecake and pick up and then off i go to my hotel. Seriously people! This place is awesome! I hate that only the people who have sticks up their butts write reviews! you never get to hear the good ones! This place is way better than everyone is saying. I have tried over half of what is listed on the menu and I can say I like most if not all of the items. There is soo much to choose from and almost anybody can find something they would like! Everything is always done fresh when you order it and the whole staff is there just to please the customer! It's a shame the people who have good experiences don't write as often as those who have something negative to say.

I went to the Cheesecake Factory in West Palm Beach City Place. I am handicap and I walk with a cane. The place was not busy when I arrived and the hostess who insisted in taking our name stated Someone will be with you shortly. Then she called our name 15 seconds later and proceeded to walk to a distance both. I am handicap and the Hostess passed by 5 booths that had servers that were empty. The booth she sat us in was for 6 people and we sat there for 15 mins until one sever said "I didnt know anyone was here." He took our drink order and came back 10 mins later saying I am sorry it took so long. We gave our order and then they switched severs. Before our food arrived the first server told us "I dont know why they sat you here . No one was assigned to this location. " I was served my potato soup which when I placed my order I stated NO BACON. How simple can that be! Is came with Bacon! They took it away and brought back the soup with the bacon picked out. The last time we went to the Southlake Cheesecake Factory, the waitress had an attitude. We decided to give it one more try. Big mistake! We certainly won't go back to this restaurant!! One of the tea glasses had a disgusting old milk ring in it. No apology. We weren't allowed to swap macaroni and cheese for the fries on a kid's plate. We weren't allowed to swap the cole slaw on a fish plate for another vegetable because it was a "garnish"!! Really?? A garnish?? We had to specifically ask for 3 bread plates and 3 sets of silverware for our 6 member group. I usually don't share my dinner ware, but guess this was the expectation?? We could never talk to the manager because he never made eye contact with the customers, only the ceiling.

Cheesecake Factory in Old Orchard Shopping Center 7/11/2010 If you are going to serve breakfast all day the bacon should be fresh. The toast was not buttered or was butter provided. The egg was ordered over medium and came hard. The server was great but will not return. You should remove breakfast all day as you are delivering a poor product.

The food is way too expensive. There were four of us and each of us had an entree with soup, two ordered alcholic drinks . Three had soda with the meal. I had water. We shared two cheesecake slices for dessert and along with two coffees the bill was way over $100.00 (tax and tip included). I will admit that without the alcholic drinks, soup and dessert it would have been cheaper. The soup (a cup) alone was $4.95 per person - way too much! The cheesecake, while delicious, is too expensive per serving too. We went there a couple of weeks later for my daughter's birthday - just for the cheesecake - there were six of us and the bill was $48.00! With a 20% tip it was almost $60.00. On the plus side the service was excellent and the atmosphere is nice. We won't go there again. They are going to price themselves out of business. Even for just cheesecake it's too pricey. I've been ripped off for the last time!

I would never go there again. My meal consisted of 5 pieces of cheesecake, 3 kids milks, 1 specialty coffee, & a avocado egg roll - all this for $80. Ridiculous! I can take my family of 5 to the Olive Garden for a meal, 2 glasses of wine, & get a desert for $65. The cheesecake was mediocre. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. In this economy to charge those kind of prices - ridiculous!

I went to the one in Jacksonville, FL. We had reservations and had to wait about 15 minutes. The food was good and so was the service, for the most part. We did have to wait an extremely long time for our checks. What I didn't like is that it was very crowded, making it very difficult to walk through. I didn't eat any dessert, but did notice the cheesecake prices were a bit much.

I have sat and read so many reviews on Cheesecake factory and I am a little surprised. I have been working in restaurants since I was 16 years old. Its been 12 years now. I have seen some good ones and some bad ones. However out of the many restaurants I have worked at I have never seen one or worked in one as great as the Cheesecake Factory. Employees get there as early as 5 am to make everything fresh. Fresh bread is brought out every 30 minutes. We dont use heat lamps to keep it hot because we have someone constantly bringing new bread out. We don't reuse food and everything is very fresh. The system of teamwork in this restaurant is outstanding. I am honored to be apart of it. We have up to 20 different cooks in the kitchen on busy days to work hard to make sure that all of the 200 plus items are made properly. Managers from coorporate are there constantly to ensure that everything is up to par. Foodrunners make sure that food never sits in the window and everything comes out fair... Read more

Went with some friends around 10pm on a week night knowing the restaurant closed at 11pm. My boyfriend is a chef and has been avoiding going to the place ever since he heard of it, and he should have very well done so. The bread which is usually okay came out so rough that you couldn't even rip it apart. How long had it been sitting under the heat lamps or in the oven?? The appetizers of crispy calamari and crispy fried cheese were okay, but how can you mess up fried food? I order the hawaiian pizza and it was disgusting!! The ham and bacon were literally tasteless when they're supposed to be sweet and salty. I get better bacon on the Wendy's value meal!! Another friend ordered the Bang-Bang Chicken and Shrimp. It was supposed to have the flavors of chile, coconut, curry, and peanut, but it just tasted like a really sweet coconut glaze that had NO spice to it, not to mention it came out at almost room temperature. Another friend ordered the chicken and biscuits and his chicken was spon... Read more

We have recently discovered The Cheese Cake Factory restaurant. We have been to the one in Pleasanton, California and Walnut Creek, California. We love the beautiful decor of the restaurant. Both times that we ate there were for an early dinner and early lunch, so there was not a long wait. My husband has had the fish and chips on both occasions and just loved it. The portions were a very good size and the batter on the fish wasn't overpowering. Just perfect! Both times I had the chopped salad, which I love. It comes with grilled chicken. I asked to change the cheese that came with the salad and I wanted fried chicken pieces on the top of the salad as well. The waiter cheerfully accommodated me. I was very pleased. The staff at these two restaurants are very friendly and efficient. The Walnut Creek restaurant is in the very busy downtown section of this city. May 2nd, we went for brunch at the Cheesecake Factory in Burlington Mall. Our waitress was -she was alright -didn't seem too enthused about serving us. So, we ordered steak and eggs and our sides; toast and english muffin. I specified that my steak be cooked medium well. Well, the steak came out burnt...it was bitter. The waitress addressed this with the she-manager, who came to our table and said she was sorry and that she didn't make the steak. Of-course managers don't make the steaks...lol. N'way, we got the charge waived, however, didn't get our toast or english muffin. Don't let your once upon a time good service fall below par.

I think a lot of the hoopla surrounding this chain has gone away, along with the service and the quality of the food. I ate at the Cheesecake Factory at two locations in the KC metro area and at the one in downtown Denver, CO. My experience at these three places all had the same underlying factors - average food that is overpriced, poor to average service, and too long to wait for said average service and overpriced food. I mean it's not bad by any means, but definitely the food is on par with like Applebees or TGIFridays or something, which means your're paying extra for the atmosphere at the Cheesecake Factory.

I agree with some that their service is not to proffessional,I think they should hire people for what they are willing to do to help the company grow and not hire people because they look good, they are mexican ,and are willing to work whatever hours you throw at them. I think its pretty discriminating to uthers and in the long run the company is the one thats going to suffer. This would be the first time my boyfriend and I dine at the Cheesecake Factory. We were told we had to wait at least 40 minutes to be seated. I thought that was normal since it was a Friday night. The hostess took us to our seats and in a matter of minutes our server arrived. Not only did she introduce today's special with attitude, she barely even came by for our refills and to ask how we were doing. The service was horrible. The food was pricey and not very well done. My boyfriend asked for a medium rare steak, but it turned out to be burnt on top and super raw. I ordered a salad and it wasn't what I expected. The salad was drenched in dressing and barely came with any grilled chicken. Finally we order our dessert, tirumisu cheesecake. Dessert was good, that's how they earned my two stars. Wow, if their dessert wasn't good, there would be no point in calling themselves "The Cheesecake Factory." Overall, service was horrible and food was pricey and dreadful.

Horrible service, we ordered and appetizer and after waiting for about 20mins we had to ask the waiter for it and we can tell he forgot to put in th order and then tells us that they actually ran out of calamari (appetizer) and that they just brought some and should be ready in a few mins. Well, we got the appetizer and it was the size of a kids portion almost like the leftovers from somebody else, our main dish had the tomatoes burned! and my Dad wanted to sing happy bday to my Mom so we ordered a small cake and wanted the servers sing happy bdy to my Mom which thats all she was waiting for, four of them came to the table, sang in a hurry, our camera got stuck so we couldnt get a pic for my Mom, so I asked them if they could do it again and they all laughed and said no! I'm just going to go down the line... -This place is not cozy. It is too damn HUGE and loud. -I'm not a fan of the architecture or acoustics. -My salad was absolutely DRENCHED in dressing. It's my own fault for not getting it on the side, but seriously, I don't know what the chef was thinking. Also, their portions are comically large. -The food has that "chain restaurant" taste. The food is pricy and the quality is bad. -The complimentary bread is very good, but it would be much better if they gave you a little cup of whipped butter instead of those odd-tasting margarine pats. -Their slices of cheesecake (as well as much of their other food) is often considered "food porn" because they are just SO many calories. It sickens me to think that people let themselves eat a 900 calorie salad (because of the massive amounts of dressing & unecessary add-ins), and then proceed to eat a dessert that could serve as their entire caloric intake for the day. Yuck.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice restaurant to have a Valentine's dinner at. The week prior to our date night, we were checking out restaurants. There was a Cheesecake Factory nearby so we decided to give it a try. Big mistake. On the contrary to other 1-star reviews, we were seated immediately, which was a nice surprise, considering the amount of people in the restaurant. We took a table and our server was really good. She was very nice and smiled a lot. She was the only good thing about this restaurant. My boyfriend ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwich from their enormous novel of a menu and I ordered off their specials list: seared salmon. The first bad thing we noticed was that we couldn't hear each other speaking due to the extensive noise. The acoustics of the room were horrible. Everything was metal, tile or rock so sound bounced off everything. It wasn't only the friendly neighborhood customers chatting, it was silverware being slammed against plates from ... Read more

Is it possible to rate zero stars? How about negative? You'll actually have to -pay- me to eat at this place. First, the menu is erratic. One could say this is a merit, saying they have a decent selection, but upon closer observation you'll find it's all dishes that appear on the menu of any other restaurant for a third of the price.....let's not forget other restaurants will be competent enough to cook it. I went out with my family and we all ordered different dishes. Each one was a disappointment as we shared our dishes with each other--not a single person liked anything. Normally we don't share our dishes but we were all baffled at how appalling the food was and wanted to share the horror. The spaghetti was overcooked, one dish seemed to have the remnants of another meal in it. Everything tasted like the chef lazily boiled some noodles, threw a can of generic store bought sauce on it, and nuked it in the microwave without even bothering to season it. My boyfriend and I recently ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. We usually sit in the bar area when we eat out. It wasn't very busy yet and the bar area was pretty quite so we helped ourselves to a seat. This is customary at all nice restaurants we eat at. We watched one server walk by look at us then another then another! Almost every server in the restaurant walked by us looked and kept walking. 10 mins passed so I decided to ask the hostess for some menus. She said "oh yeah the tall tables you can help yourselves to but the lower tables need to be seated by the hostess". I guess we were punished for 10 mins because we broke the bar area seating rules?? A very strange server with a very loud raspy voice, too much makeup and a chip on her shoulder came over to get our drink order and scold us again about seating ourselves. 20 mins have gone by and the restaurant is not busy! I don't like the Cheesecake Factory at all. I will give it 2 stars because I do like the cheesecake. It's pretty expensive and the menu is a book about the size of a small novel, which makes things a bit complicated. More importantly, the food sucks. It is usually too long of a wait and too crowded at the location nearest my home, but this speaks to its relative quality and availability of comparable alternatives. I've never had a truly bad experience there and don't really understand those with immensely strong distaste for this place. I'm sure there are certain bad locations/staffs and occasional bad experiences at any location. However, there sure seems to be some strong (almost unbelievable) feelings about this business. The Orange Chicken and Fried Calamari have always been reliable.

I am very upset with the cheesecake factory's lack of professionalism. Their online service is terrible. I ordered a cheesecake to be delivered to my son on a friday. When it did not arrive, I assumed that it would most likely be delivered on that Saturday. Of course, saturday rolls around.....no cheesecake.....and they are closed, so I cannot talk to anyone. MONDAY comes....I am upset...but I will be okay if he just gets the dang cheesecake. NOPE.....I call and find out that for some reason the cheesecake factory NEVER sent out the cheesecake. The options......they could cancel the exsisting order and refund my money or cancel the order and make a new one. Why have a shop online business if you cannot effectively run the business. I will report this to the better business bureau and I plan to tell all my friends to never order from them again. If you order from this business....BEWARE!!!

I love the location. It's in the center of Colorado Blvd's shopping and dining neighborhood. However, I dislike the amount of people hoarding the restaurant for a table. It's pretty ridiculous how many people want to eat here. I mean its good, but its not THAT good. I would imagine the wait is over an hour for most people. Luckily for me, I tend to eat there when there's less foot traffic. Food excellent but the wait is not!

Just had a horrible experience at the location in Nashville, TN. Waited 15 minutes for a server to arrive. When he finally did he offered lame excuses and even lamer jokes. Waited another 15 for him to bring beverages. When a manager was called over, he responded much the same way the server did. I am in the industry. I am a more than generous tipper. I want at least moderately good service and hopefully good food. Not excuses and poor attempts to be charming. Finally walked out. By the way, this was supposed to be my birthday lunch. Will not go back. Apparently, there is no website through which to make the corporate office aware of these problems. Why am I not surprised at that?

I love that place! I had the strawberry cheesecake and it was very creamy, the crust, was very mouth watering cinnamony and the strawberries on top were a die for. Kind of expensive, (except on Cheesecake Day) but yet, one of my favorite places!
