Not bad, but be a little careful. I know of two people who absolutely detest surprise parties, one to the extent where, when one was thrown for her, turned and left the house and did not return.

If done tastefully, then these can be neat. Unfortunately, most of the time there's little "surprise" involved and even less partying.

I've never had a surprise party thrown for me, but I did throw my parents a surprise 30th Anniversary party. The reaction that the recipients get is great, and it is usually a good time.

Though its quite classic but it remains nice .. but i wouldn't say unique :o)
