I think Hard Rock is overpriced. It's too commercial and just doesn't ever seem worth the money. The food isn't that great either.

hey, thats great. a place where you can spend WAY,WAY too much on anything, food or memorabilia, and if you are lucky youll get to see a middle aged has-been glam rocker trying to look like he is still 20 years old AND living in 1982 still. thats my idea of fun (NOT)

This is such a hip place to eat.  Last time I was in one, I saw Richards and Jagger, Townshend, Costello, Moore and Lowe.  Only problem was it was Tony Richards and Bill Jagger, General Contractors, Louie Townshend of Townshend's Towing, Tina Costello of Starz Gentlemen's Club, Oscar Moore, taxidermist and Butch Lowe of Santiclean Toilet Service.

Hard Rocks have mastered "the formula". I have to give them that. They seem to be loud, bustling, and busy (and not necessarily in an appealing way) at most hours of the day, and in most major cities across the Western hemisphere.

It's hard to rate this chain because I've seen some really great HRC's and then some really junky ones (especially outside the US). Food is ok.

The hard rock cafe could always steal my opinion due to its great look and music selection. I have attended hard rock a few times, here today I have a mixed feeling on it. As I went to the Maui location I found the food decent and was pleased with the atmosphere and service. I left feeling good and was content about it. Attending the San Francisco location was another story. Right as I walked in I was overwelmed by the loud music and noises. Sitting there was something I was used to because of the slow service. Maybe the wait wouldn't have been half as bad but you can't hear anyone near you due to the high volume. Finally my food was not pleasing and I thought it was very over priced. Do not let the hip design and fun atmosphere fool you in this place.

I went there because a friend wanted a Hard Rock shirt from New York. Not my cup of tea.

Mediocre food in pretentious ambiance. The service is what you might expect if you were a guest of the KGB circa 1952.

Usually just a tourist trap for out of towners.

I have only been to one in Gatlinburg TN and I have to say our server was awesome and the place was very nice. If I remember correctly the menu wasn't the best, but the food was very good.

Nah, just a tourist trap kind of thing. The music memorabilia is the best part by far. 2 stars for the food only.

I've been to these places here and overseas and it's all the same- overpriced pub food. Cheesy decor. . .it's only worthwhile if I gotta-have-a-decent-cheesburger feeling in a foreign country. While back home, I would never frequent one of these places. . .

The prices are WAY WAY WAY too high. And the food is no better than any other burger joint. Why waste your money on atmosphere and loud music ??

While the prices may be a little on the high side, to enjoy good food and be surrounded by all that cool stuff is a nice change of pace from most other sit-downs I have been in. I still have my hurricane glass from a birthday I celebrated at Hard Rock Phoenix. :)

Over priced, over rated, too noisy! This chain is only for hormonal teenagers with their parent's credit card.

When I went there in Gatlinburg, The waitors were soo crazy, The music videos were crazy. Every thing...crazy. This waitor kept spinning his order book while showin people to their tables, thinking he was soo cool with his mohawk and 1,000,000,000 straped boots, was really annoying. Good hot wings though.

Wonderful atmosphere and good food. I usually just go to drink some beers and maybe have a small apetizer. I love the music and the rock star clothing that they have behinde the glass. It is the actual clothing of the star from what i was told!

I thought the food was pretty good. But it is really just a place to have a good time. Which is what I do when I go there. It's a loud atmosphere, which is good when you are with a group of friends and family. The crowd is what sets The Hard Rock apart from most other chains. I've been to the ones in L.A., Newport Beach, Ca, and N.Y. and they were all great.

The atmosphere is interesting the service is not bad as is the food. However you pay for all the rock relics, so it is not cheap. It is a great novelty but I would not eat there all the time.

i never saw the purpose of eating an expensive subpar burger just to sit near the guitar from one of the guys in Thin Lizzy.

I love looking at the music memorabilia. Their food is okay... They have an amazing brownie sundae that will feed not only you but the rest of the group you're with. LOL.

A souvenir store that happens to sell food. The food is OK but it's like eating at the Museum of Science. Thats not really why you are there.

Merchandise central. Way overpriced. If you go there because it is an 'event', fine. But this isn't a restaurant, really, its a zoo.

Defintely have to say great atmoshere, service, and burgers!

The food is better than eating at a fast food joint, and the atmospher is incredible! I love going to different ones and seeing what rock memorabilia is in them.

Never actually understood all the hype surrounding this restaurant. I have been to a few Hard Rock Cafe's (Cleveland, Chicago, Toronto, Niagara Falls, and San Francisco), and really, I never found the food tha good at any of the locations I have been to. The charge a lot of money for the rather mediocre food, and after you have seen 3 or 4 of these location, the luster wears off, and you see that it is just a normal restaurant that plays a lot of Madonna.

Great atmosphere; mediocre food. But atmosphere is what this place is about after all.

They serve the worst food on the planet. well there was plantet hollywood and we all know how that turned out.

Great food, especially steaks, burgers, fries, and deserts, and elaborate pop and rock music displays, but the prices are way too high!

Although the food is a little overpriced Hard Rock Cafe is great. All of the rock memorabilia surrounding you while you eat is great. They also have great mercandise. I love their shirts and pins. And fortunately here in America they don't have toilets on the walls. At least not in the one's I've been in.

I have only been to the one in London and I enjoyed it because food in England left something to be desired. However, I don't think I will ever go to one again. Why bother with an overpriced burger just so you can see the toilet that Elvis used to puke in?

yuk. the most uncreative food, which doesn't even taste good, cheesy atmosphere. if only they put as much effort into the food as they do into getting people to buy their merchandise...

You eat in a athmosphere of Madonna, Aerosmith, Massive Attack etc.! :o)

The Hard Rock Cafe has become an institution in America. It combines American's 3 favorite recreational activities food, music, and sexual overtones. In addition, it exists in every major city around the world like an over-priced McDonalds.
