Being a huge Braves fan I must say that since we've been in 5 WS and only won 1 that I am disappointed. The 14 straight years of regular season success is wonderful but our opportunities for another WS chance has eluded us since 1999 and our greatest chances of winning another may be slipping or has slipped away.

It is remarkable that Bobby Cox can get so much out of a team during the regular season (and quite often with a lot of roster turnover), yet get so little out of his team in the playoffs. Fourteen consecutive division titles and one world series title. After 4 or 5, it isn't bad luck.

I'll say. What are we at now? A dozen or more division championships, most of them consecutive, and one, a solitary, lonely one Series Title. It doesn't get much more disappointing.

As a guy who followed the Braves with fervor before there was such a thing as a D-Back (and I still kinda keep track) this team frustrated the snot out of me with the exception of one whole at bat that keeps a five on this item at bay. Dave Justice, wherever you are, THANK YOU!
