As a salesman he deserves an AAA rating. On the other hand, the quality of his products leaves a lot to be desired. His "helping education" by giving away laptops is just another way to promote his products. The average of his salesmanship and his products is in my opinion a three star rating.

Gates is on top of the world right now. It hard to argue against his success.

It is unfortunate, he could not use his money to help the intelligent people of America with legislation to prevent education discrimination.

The ultimate role model for all wanna-be techies out there who believe that school is a waste of time! But really, Gates is brillant, no matter what you think about his products or his tactics, you got to admit that. And like Magellan said, he works in an industry where your on the job skills matter more, not whether you did post-graduate work or not.

He's the richest man in the world, so yeah he's doing all right. One of the coolest things about the tech industry is that educational background just doesn't matter. As long as you have skills, you can go as far as you want to go.

He did have some college education, but I think becoming the richest man in the world without a degree on the wall merits a five. Not only has he become disgustingly rich, he has played a major role in changing the way people all over the world work, communicate, and entertain themselves.
