Lance Armstrong has been a success in his sport. However, I don't think anybody compares high level performance in an individual sport with educational experience.

He has reached ultimate success in his profession, but I would agree that it has little, if anything, to do with intelligence or education. Outside of cycling, I am not aware of any business ventures or success that he has had. This still doesn't take away from his success. He is to cycling what Wayne Gretsky is to hockey or Michael Jordan is to basketball.

It takes a lot of physical ability to do this. But definately not something that would require an degree regardless. I don't see how the two types of success compare in this case.
