 | GenghisTheHun (168) 09/15/2005 | This George was the fourth king of the miserable Hanoverian dynasty and reverted back to the wretchedness of the first two Georges. He was a scandal and flagrantly unfaithful to his wife. He was regent for his poor mad father, George III, and fortunately for Britain, did not serve that long as King. He tried to divorce his wife, but Parliament revolted and he couldn't get the job done. He had no legitimate children, and his brother, William IV, succeeded him on the throne.
