Bill Clinton is such a dork. I think down the road, he'll be the guy in the bathtub in the Cialis commercials.

*hits brakes* I find it curious that Slick Willy here is so high on the list when there are many more deserving candidates here and there. Sure, he plays the party game sometimes, but I saw him give positive characterizations on McCain on a couple occasions, so I can't really see him as a spear chucker for all things left.

Interesting rating. . .he gets a four. . .but repubs can't stand the fact that if he ran today he'd crush the present ticket and win again. . .

jgls, sort of polarizing, huh? UPDATE: I find it funny that some on the left characterize the criticisms of Bill Clinton as morally based. My criticisms of Clinton are all political: from his hatred of the military, to his espousing the gay agenda (not that there's anything wrong with being gay), to his false statements on his beliefs on abortion, to his promise of a middle class tax cut, to his attempt to socialize health care and health insurance (to be more like Canada's), to his response pattern to repeated terrorist attacks on US targets and citizens (pure weakness) to the ease with which he told bald-faced lies. To me. To us. To you. And that's just his first year. And, upon leaving office, he really didn't get the credit he deserved for having pardoned some of the worst criminals this country ever spent its time and treasure to apprehend. Now he's back, to lecture us about the importance of a president telling the truth, staying true to his principles and unifying everyone. No, it's not his morality that's so objectionable.

He is polarizing - no question. What's strange is the reason that he's polarizing - it's certainly not because of his economic policy. Clintonion policy was as business and economy friendly as any Republican's. Where he screwed up was in his personal life, and then being arrogant enough to think he could lie about and get away with it. What's odd to me is that there have been so many politicians, on both sides of the political fence, who have been adulterers. So why has Clinton become the conservative whipping boy? I think it comes down to what Tboneya says, a huge segment of the population who base their votes and opinions on morals, and maybe the sense that Clinton considered himself bigger than the office of President. Though, it seems to me that those morals are sometimes selectively applied (compare the relative uproar between i didn't inhale and the fact that Bush was a cocaine user / dui offender).
