Julius Caesar (1953) 5

As abridged as you can expect but, as is the case in any movie directed by Joseph Makiewicz, the whole cast, from Brando's Marc Antony to James Mason's Caius Brutus and John Gielgud's Cassius and even the relatively minor female roles (Deborah Kerr as Portia, Brutus' wife and Greer Garson as Calpurnia, Julius Caesar's), shines. You do owe it to yourself as one of the finer American adaptations.
