Barbara Boxer 5

Original Comment (1/07/05): One of the worst U.S. Senators ever, Barbara Boxer has been as divisive and partisan as they come. Example? Boxer never once reprimanded Bill Clinton for his personal misconduct (but not an impeachable offense) in the Oval Office with a certain White House intern. Another example? How about her stupid attempt to challenge the electoral vote count in Ohio (a dead issue for sometime now) during the official casting of votes? Yet, she conveniently ignores what happened in the Washington gubernatorial race and the frequent charge of voter fraud which surrounded the post-election melee. Furthermore, a so-called feminist who avows herself to protecting the interest of her fellow women, why was she so quiet during the equally embarrassing Clinton impeachment hearings? Did it ever occur to her that she could have taken a firm stand and told Bill Clinton that what he did was personally wrong? But she did not. Boxer does not give a crap about feminism. All she cares about is her beloved political career. It does not take a rocket scientist to see that Boxer has no real values and core beliefs, nor has she ever. Californians (and women) ought to know that they deserve much better than having this party-towing moron represent them in the U.S. Senate- that is having a Senator who will stand on his/her principle regardless of his/her political party. But then again, Californians continue to show how ignorant they are by voting this jerk into office repeatedly. It's very sad.

Update (6/18/09): It's amazing how power can breed arrogance (and not only on one side of the aisle). Senator Larry Craig (R) of Idaho and his sexual indiscretions (and his futile attempt to cover it up); recently, Senator John Ensign (R) of Nevada and his disclosure of an extramarital affair; and now Boxer, and her demand/insistence to be addressed as "Senator" by a General after having been offended for being referred to as "Ma'am" (and it's probably safe to say that the General meant not to demean her). Boxer has always been an arrogant and self-centered person (which may describe all politicians, actually), but Californians regularly excuse her rude behavior and keep electing her back into office- an office she definitely feels she is entitled to as she rarely has to campaign in California (and rarely ever comes back to meet with her constituents). Californians definitely deserve better, but unfortunately will never hold Boxer accountable for her behavior and actions- which is very unfortunate.

Disreputable and completely unelectable outside of California. Even in New York. Boxer's liberal extremism forces voters to choose sides. She's a Marxist, pure and simple. And a disreputable one at that. What truly offends me the most about Senator Boxer, is what an intellectual call girl she is. Like much of the mainstream feminist movement, she sold a lot of her espoused principles down the river in the name of Bill Clinton. Perhaps her lowest moment (and there are a number to choose from) was when she, of all people, started to lecture Condoleeza Rice about her principles and ethics. In all honesty, if I had been Rice, I don't know if I would have fallen down laughing or jumped out of my seat, rushed the California senator, and started pounding her in the face. Fortunately, the former college professor showed a little more decorum than I probably would have mustered.

Dumbest senator, now serving, and in the finals for the dumbest senator of all time in the 1789-2005 contest. If you don't believe me, watch her on C-Span. Her performances in the house were even funnier. Californians, who leave the polling place after voting for her, should wear a bag over their heads in shame.
