Can't say how conventional it might seem to fans of contemporary Westerns, but this William Wellman effort remains among the one dozen I recall most affectionately, with a great cast, Richard Widmark's 'Dude' as sinister as had been his 'Johnny Udo' in 'Kiss of Death' as year earlier.
