Brinker Restaurants has a good reputation with this chain. I did order the shrimp soft taco, with refried beans and grilled vegetables. I liked it a lot, and I felt that it steadily made me sweat (not counting the complimentary nachos.) I do say it is overpriced- ($14.06 including 8.25% tax!) but I did enjoy it anyway. Service was good and though it's unlikely that I may go again due to prices, and that higher fat meals would seemingly cost less than the more healthy chices they serve, I would say that when the prices are more reasonable, more people would come in; but a good chain overall.

Food WAY WAY OVERPRICED. No Taste, Very Small Portions. Save Money go to Taco Bell or Del Taco there you will have better food at a better price

I'm a little suspicious of the authenticity given that a lot of them are on the border of places like Vermont and Maine.

On The Border is awesome. They have really good chicken fajitas plus unlimited chips and salsa, which is enough for me. They have a fairly big menu selection so there really is something for everyone at OTB.

LOVE IT! They have great Margaritas :D

We eat at the Cary, NC location nearly every weekend. Love the Monterrey Ranch Chicken Fajita's, and their Brownie for dessert is tops. Atmosphere ok, usually very noisy. When there have been problems with the wait or the food, the management has always swiftly taken care of things. Best of the Tex-Mex restaurant chains

Being from Texas, there's one thing this corporate chain forgot. We like our Tex-Mex food served steaming hot, not lukewarm on a hot plate. Nothing will get you a BAD rating faster than COLD food...and I mean consistently cold food. That trumps anything else they might try to succeed at. They get a two only because freshly made flour tortillas are available but you have to threaten your server with bodily harm to get any at all, much less refills. Forget this place and go to a real Tex Mex restaurant. [The 5 star ratings here are to be believed at your own peril. Astounding.]

Not a good resturant for a Mexican food town. I'd probably score it higher if I lived in nonMexican border town.

This place sucks, the food was horrible. I would rate it slightly better then Taco Bell. The corn chips came out soaked in grease and half done. Chi Chi's was much better, but sadly they went out of business, too bad it wasn't the other way around. I will avoid this place in the future.

Delicious place. I never had a bad experience here at On the Border.

Awesome. I like the huge chips they give you and I also like how you can create your own burrito. Great place.

Good place even though the food isn't authentic, it's still a good place. I love their chips and salsa. And I love the Texas Wings a lot! I'm going next week for my bro's b-day party. And I'll try something new for once. Come here and have a good time, you people that are reading this comment.

OMG!! We don't have one of these in my state, but I went to one in Texas. It was divine!! It wasn't like all the typical, grease soaked food you get at many so-called Mexican cafes. My dinner was spectacular....very fresh, hot...yumm! High quality, fresh-Mex!

This has to be one of the worst sit down mexican restaurants out there. There food has been terrible everytime I'm stupid enough to agree to go there.

I love everything about this place except for the fact they always seem to need more seating.

I really enjoyed my 2 trips to this restaurant. The first was for Cinco de Mayo and I had this awsome frozen margarita/sangria swirl. They come in 2 sizes- large and mega huge- so be careful if you are the designated driver. The second time I had the beef fajita with black pepper. It was very good. Not authentic mexican, but the chips and salsa weren't bad.

We like to go here for the chips and salsa and a corona or two. Great atmosphere and good food.

Ate there for the first time recently and gotta say I wasn't impressed. Just another theme restaurant going crazy with "Mexican" accessories etc. Food wasn't bad but wasn't terribly good either. There was something floating or I should say bottom floating in my beer. For two people and fifty bucks I'd rather (and will next time) go someplace nice, local, and more comfortable with better food.

Nothing special. Lack of non-Mexican items on the menu sometimes makes it difficult to get a group to go there.

Some says Italy has the greatest food. I don't agree at all! It's Mexicans who can make real food! :o)
