Not a politician. Just an entertainer who has figured out a schtick to put cash in his pockets. Preaches to the choir, but doesn't change anyone's mind.

This is what America's "real" anchorman thrives on, it is why he is handsdown the most listened to program in the country! It is why he has more listeners in a week, than Air america has in 3 months!

Rush Limbaugh is a treasonic man who should be arrested for treason.

Because he is sometimes very funny, he only gets a four on this scale.

Right wing mouthpiece, shill for the Republican Party. He is polarizing, but at least you have the choice not to listen to him. He's a hypocrite since he's really a pill popping drug user and came off like a pseudo-racist in criticizing Dovovan McNabb.

Polarizing? Of course Rush Limbaugh is. There never was a question about where Rush stands. Everyone knows he is a conservative talk-show host. Is he a politician, though? NO. He is nevertheless influential to millions of EIB listeners whom he affectionately refers to as 'dittoheads'. But what makes him different from the other non-politicians on this list (Al Franken, Jane Fonda, Barbra Streisand and Michael Moore) is that he doesn't claim to speak for all Americans like they do. Rather, Rush proudly claims himself to be the voice of those who view themselves as conservative Americans.

Rush Limbaugh is a polarizing character, but he isn't a politician. I guess one could say he functions as a political strong arm for conservatives. Oddly, though, he has a polarizing effect on many otherwise conservative people who just can't stand his puffery.
